Growing Traffic is one of my main goals for the blog this year. I set this goal because I want to add new readers who need help with their finances. Using our previous experience with paying off over $100,000 worth of debt and helping our son and daughter navigate their first year in college should add value to others in similar situations.
I found extreme value in reading and listening to other people’s experiences with their finances when we first got started organizing our money and continue to learn from others today.
I’ve been blogging for three years now and have seen modest growth over that time, but not some of the bigger numbers others have seen who have been blogging as long. So, what’s a personal finance blogger to do?
Simple, I asked for help. I reached out to other bloggers in the community and ask for their best tips for growing traffic. I received some great feedback.
First and foremost, there should always be a focus on content. Admittedly I’m no wordsmith, but do my best to share our personal story with money, and how we are doing our best to prepare our three children.
There were several great tips and pointers after the first of produce great content and they will come. Taking a point from our debt repayment days, I’m choosing to focus on only one of them at a time, like paying off debt. This will avoid starting and stopping several initiatives, and not finding any results.
