Each year on November 11, here in the United States we celebrate Veterans Day. I am proud to know and have two Veterans that are close to me, my dad and my father-in-law. My dad a twenty plus year Navy man, who served during the Korean War and the Seabees. My father-in-law a Mariner who served during Vietnam.
They both could not be prouder of their time in the service and made lifelong friendships and bonds. It’s evident in the stories I hear them recall, and the pride they take when speaking of their service.
My dad passed away several years ago and his wishes were to be buried at sea. Just another illustration of the commitment and bond he had with the military. My father-in-law is retired by still very active volunteering his time with Marine functions.
So, take a moment as you pursue whatever it is you are pursuing and remember our Veterans sacrifice to protect our freedom.
